September has come to an end and here we
are starting into October with many activities scheduled for this
month.

On September 11, a
field
day was held in Drumheller hosted by Strathmore Chapter #21,
Strathmore and Eheyeh Chapter #27, Drumheller. The intension was to
hold the field day at the Passion Play Center, but due to climatic
conditions, the event was moved to the Drumheller Lodge. 53
companions representing 12 Chapters within Alberta were in
attendance. 8 brethren received the Mark Master Mason degree as well
as the Most Excellent Masters degree.

On September 16, Diane and I flew to
Campbell River to attend the Grand Chapter Convocation of British
Columbia, Yukon. We were accompanied by R. Ex. Comp. Gerry Hawley,
Grand Principal Sojourner and his wife, Margaret. The attendance was
approximately 180 companions, including visitors.

On September 25, I attended
District
#1 and #2 joint meeting. This meeting was conducted in a most
efficient manner under the leadership of R. Ex. Comp. Charles Slater
and R. Ex. Comp. Wally Watts. V. Ex. Comp. Charles Hunt was elected
District Superintendent elect for District #1 and R. Ex. Comp. Lloyd
Johnson for District #2. A very enjoyable day

October will be a very busy month
starting with the District #4 meeting in Lethbridge on October 16.

October 21, will be an official visit
to Assiniboia Chapter in Medicine Hat

October 23, District #5 meeting in
Wainwright
-
October 24, Reaffirmation Sunday,
Bethel Chapter #36, Forestburg service will be held at St. Paul's
Presbyterian, Galahad

October 25, official visit to Cold
Lake chapter #39, Cold Lake

October 26, official visit to Norwood
Chapter #18, Edmonton

October 27, official visit to
Parklands Chapter #31, Wainwright
-
October 28, official visit to Lebanon
Chapter #38, Stettler
